2022 Ride For Autism Awareness – South Africa @ Johannesburg

In 2022 we partnered with 3 countries in Africa; Nigeria – Lagos, South Africa – Johannesburg and Rustenburg and Ethiopia –
Addis Ababa to have the Ride 4 Autism event and awareness throughout the Autism Awareness month of April.
In Kenya, we had the ride in three cities; Nairobi, Kisumu and Karatina. The proceeds from the event went into Setting up and
Equipping two Autism units; one in Karatina Special School and Dagoretti Special School.
In Nairobi, the Ride 4 Autism Africa was done on the 2nd of April at City Primary School, Ngara. The event was graced by over

100 people on various spectrums of disability and the general public. Our sponsors and partners were also on ground to mark
World Autism Day and support the cause of promoting equal opportunities for every child especially those on the Autism
Spectrum. We also had the Rotaract Club of Kenyatta University as our volunteers for the day.
Activities for the day included;

Free General Medical Checks in partnership with CheckUps Medical Hub
V EARC As

V Free Dental Checks in partnership with Nairobi Premiere Dental Clinic
Exhibition stand for Andy Speaks 4 Special Needs Persons with assistive devices and toys for sale at a discounted price

Kiddie Fun Day – We set up a play area for kids to play and have fun
We partnered with Standard Group as our main Media Disability Partner, Safaricom PLC, Standard Group, CheckUps Medical,
Nairobi Premiere Dental Clinic, Superior Hotels.
Kenfalls Springs, National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya (NFDK), Nairobi
Metropolitan Services, Aquatronics and TechHub Holdings.
ACROSS AFRICA

In Addis Ababa, Malen Foundation had an awareness forum and World Autism Day Celebrations.
In Lagos, we partnered with Safari Studios who organized an outdoor dance where support aids were also donated to various
leedy Tammieo.
In South Africa, we partnered with Puo Pha
with Puo Phaa Mosadi to organize the ride in Johannesburg and Rustenberg. The ric

ride was held in
Johannesburg on World Autism Day and in Rustenburg, it was done on 28th April as the final event to mark World Autism Month.
In true spirit, our Founder represented Kenya at this events and we are proud that it was a huge success across the continent.
Our goal is to take our advocacy journey beyond Africa to the world.
